1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the dadopen.com web application ("the App"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The App is a private event management platform for the 2026 Dads Invitational golf event. It provides scoring, team management, expense tracking, player profiles, and SMS notifications for registered participants.

3. User Accounts

  • Accounts are created by the event administrator for invited participants only.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You agree to notify the administrator if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Default usernames and passwords are assigned by the administrator and should be changed after first login.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose. You will not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
  • Submit false or misleading scores, expenses, or other data.
  • Use the App to harass, abuse, or threaten other participants.
  • Attempt to disrupt or overload the App's servers or infrastructure.
  • Use the App for any commercial purpose unrelated to the event.

5. Scoring & Competition

All scores entered through the App are subject to review and correction by the event administrator. The administrator's decisions regarding scoring disputes, handicap calculations, and point awards are final.

6. Expense Tracking

The expense tracking feature is provided as a convenience for splitting shared costs among participants. The App calculates suggested payment amounts but is not a financial service. All financial settlements are between participants directly (e.g., via Venmo). The App and its administrator are not liable for disputes between participants regarding expenses.

7. SMS Communications

SMS notifications are an optional feature. By opting in, you agree to receive automated text messages from the 2026 Dads Invitational. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. See our SMS Opt-In page and Privacy Policy for details.

8. Intellectual Property

The App's design, code, and content (excluding user-submitted data) are the property of the event organizer. Player bios, scores, and other user-contributed content remain the property of their respective authors.

9. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The organizer is not liable for any damages arising from use of the App, including but not limited to: data loss, scoring errors, SMS delivery failures, or expense calculation discrepancies. Use the App at your own risk.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
